Hi! I am Nanxin "Nick" Li, a Yale Psychology PhD student working at Dr. Ron Duman's molecular psychiatry lab. I am interested in animal models of two major psychiatric disorders: depression and schizophrenia. Currently I am investigating the molecular mechanism of rapid antidepressant effects of ketamine and other glutamate NMDA receptor targeting compounds. In collaboration with faculty members at Peking University in China, I am supervising several projects looking at social-isolation-induced behavioral and neurotransmission abnormalities.
I received rigorous training in behavioral neuroscience from Dr. Tom Brown's lab at Yale and Dr. Liang Li's lab at Peking University. I was in charge of several in vivo neurophysiology projects, including single-unit and field-potential recording in various brain regions.
Welcome to contact me for discussion and possible collaborations!
